Final Blog post.

Below follows my overall thoughts on the developing process as well as some final thoughts on the overall piece. For the sake of limits concerning uploading videos I’ve had to split the video into three parts. (sorry) These videos serve as my final blog post and I feel offer a more personal approach to my overall feelings on the development process and myself as a developing artist. I can’t stress how much work it took to upload these files in the correct format. I have also included some photos from my finished performance and even the script I used when creating the work I performed. I think presenting my final thoughts on the module via several  videos in this format says more than I ever could in written words. I think the most interesting part of my performance was the reaction I got from my audience which I would describe as weary at first, however after the first dramatic beat it lead them to endorse the performance.

The final layout of my stage. I think it looked fantastic and suited my performance needs from the everyday objects to the ones of a more practical nature. I think the nature of the performance suits this stage well and it is interesting to look at and also to perform in. As you can see there are many random objects and this is the point of the visuals, I want people to ask why is this here and what relevance does it have? As in my final show I abandoned all pretense and ideas of eating cereal and wearing ties on stage as I felt this was more harmful to my overall performance,  however I think my final choice in show style and format was well adjusted and harmonious to my overall piece.  I like messy and I like organised mess as it adds to the overall drama of my script.

Front on look at the stage.

Back view close to the window.

The rough window I build for my performance which was suspended mid air and projected behind on. This was used for clouds  projection and other media. I think overall it looked effective. Simple wood and nail frame.
